The Decision to have a Couples Photography session is no small one. You are inviting a stranger into your little loved up Bubble and Document it using pictures. This is exactly what I did with Jodie and Jason. The original plan for this session was a fairy tale woodland shoot but had to opt for a home lifestyle shoot due to the standard British weather. I set up my lights in their cosy but spacious living room and got started.
The Hardest part of any couple Session is being comfortable and that goes for both the couple and the photographer. This is where the benefits of you being in your home come in. You are in your own environment and more at ease, this certainly showed with this pair.
To kick off the session I simply asked Jodie and Jason to sit down and get comfortable, while I double checked my light position. All the while talking to them. Noting their automating body language I was able to direct them into natrual looking poses and keeping them both comfortable.
This was such a fun couple to work with, and it was nice to see that they don't take themselves too seriously. They however were very sweet and honest when It came to me asking them questions about eachother.
Together we managed to create sweet, fun and intimate photos.

The photos you are seeing in this blog post were edited in Adobe Lightroom and as you can tell I got a little excited using colour. This however is a perfect reflection of this couple.
