My Small Business

Running a Small Business doesn't mean I just get to take Pretty Picture and record nice videos.

It means giving up my time, money and pulling together ALL the skills I have while jumping into the deep end, in an overpopulated Pool of people all trying to do the same thing.

Three Days/nights Minimum a Week I am in a Studio an hour away from my Home, at what most would consider my day Job as a TV Producer. One day a Week I am working Mostly from home doing my job as Content Producer. Seven Days a Week I am running Beadie Productions. Yes, you heard you me. Running a business no matter how small is a 24/7 job. Especially when you are one woman machine, and while I have been able to go from a full time regular job to working Freelance in an industry that I love, I am yet to be able to take that big leap into JUST being a business Owner to Survive. To really put this into prospective, it is 23:03 on The 15th of February and I am Writing this Blog while simultaneously Creating Posts For Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. Scheduling them. Emailing back a Potential Client. Sending an Invoice; Taking some photos and editing them for my marketing and Social media posts and Planning my Show for tomorrow night. (Psychic Today, Sky 680)

This is just night and doesn't me any actually main Beadie Productions Work. Photography, Videographer or Editing! Tomorrow is an early start so I can Fit in a walk before spending three hours Editing a Video for Client and then driving to work to Producer a Show for Seven hours. I will then arrive home at around 11pm. Hopefully I'll slide straight into bed but the likely hood is I will be best organising myself for the next day of editing, who knows I might even fit in some cleaning before going to bed. I rarely a moment to myself and the only time I have a day off is when my Partner reminds me that I have the right to one or I feel I've not seen him, which says a lot when he is usually sitting next to me. Running a Small Business is not for the faint hearts, it's a lot of work and sleepless nights. But It is all made worth it a Client makes a booking and for that moment of joy when they receive their Videos and precious Photos.

It's true what they say. We do, do a little dance every time someone supports us And more often not it is then followed but a quick cheer around the house to make sure everyone else knows.
