As a wedding photographer I have been to many couples special days and been honoured to capture the moments that matter.
However, as an almost 30 year old in the summertime you'd hope I'd be more prepared to attend a wedding ... As a guest.
I was not.
I am absolutely in love with wedding and incredibly passionate about wedding and portrait photography. The details, small moments, everyone sharing in a beautiful day and the expression of love. Whether simply and sweet or an extravagant event there is somethings so special about saying I do.
Capturing the moments is what I do, which comes with a strict itinerary and a lot of running around and not much time for sitting and socialising, so when it came to being a guest I didn't know what to do with my hands!
On top of all that without my camera, I'm somewhat introverted and awkward in crowds, especially if I don't know many people. It also allowed my to feel compassion to those attendees experiencing the wedding throughout there phone camera.
My top tip for anyone attending a wedding?
Take a deep breath, and embrace the beautiful and brave expression of love that you have the privilege to witness... also kindly and respectful move out of the chosen professional photographers shot.
Beadie Productions allows me to be apart of something magical and I am so great to call myself a wedding photographer but sometime you have to put the camera down and enjoy the moment with your own eyes. That's is exactly why wedding photographers are there to capture you in the moments and being a part of it.
You never know you might end up have just as good a time as i did, having great conservations, meeting new people and sharing in bold expressions of love.
